Knight’s Companies is seeking a Technical Operations Manager to oversee QC in Ready-Mix operations. You will lead lab and field personnel, monitor materials, and ensure products meet regulatory and customer specs across regions.

The role emphasizes developing QC programs, testing protocols, and performance indicators, with collaboration across plant operations, dispatch, sales, and customers to maintain consistent product quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years of Quality Control experience in ready-mixed concrete environment.
• Ability to lead and develop teams while enforcing quality, safety, and performance standards.
• Certification targets: NRMCA Concrete Technologist Level 3 and DOT/ACI within stated timelines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with safety and environmental policies.
• Lead day-to-day field operations and ensure policy adherence.
• Develop and implement QC programs and performance standards.
• Monitor mix designs, raw materials, and product performance.
• Investigate customer complaints and propose resolutions.
• Coordinate collection of materials from suppliers.
• Represent the company at pre-pour meetings as directed.
• Review testing protocols per ASTM/ACI standards.
• Ensure concrete mixes meet job-specific requirements.
• Participate in mix/test trial batches within specifications.
• Maintain accurate documentation of testing results.
• Coach QC technicians in sampling, testing, and safety.
