Knight’s Companies Inc. in Summerville, SC, seeks a Director of Technical Services to lead the Redi-Mix division's technical, quality assurance, and product development efforts.

You will shape the technical strategy, drive innovation, and ensure high-performance concrete meets specs, standards, and regulatory requirements. You will oversee design, testing, and QA programs across plants and field operations, mentor a team, and partner with operations, sales, and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or materials science (Master’s is a plus).
• PE license is a plus.
• Minimum 10–15 years in technical or quality management in Ready Mix or related materials.
• In-depth knowledge of concrete mix design, materials, testing, and industry standards.

Responsabilités

• Oversee design, testing, and performance of concrete mixes to meet standards.
• Lead quality control and QA programs across Ready Mix plants and field ops.
• Develop and implement the company’s technical strategy for excellence and growth.
• Mentor technical managers, QC personnel, and lab staff.
• Provide technical training for production and sales teams.
