Job summary

WTVG, Gray Media’s Toledo, Ohio station, seeks a leadership-driven Technical Operations Manager to oversee broadcast and master control operations. You will lead, train, and schedule the operations team, streamline workflows, and champion on-air innovation to keep broadcasts fresh and compliant.

You will maintain hands-on competency across Ross automation, master control systems, and production tools, while ensuring 24/7 coverage and adherence to FCC guidelines.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of television production or master control experience, with leadership or supervisory experience in live broadcast.
• Hands-on proficiency with live-production automation systems, digital audio boards, video switchers, and master control infrastructure.
• FCC guidelines knowledge, including EAS and closed captioning protocols.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and schedule the operations team and streamline production workflows.
• Oversee maintenance, vendor coordination, and system updates for control room and master control systems.
• Cover TMP and MCO shifts as needed and respond to live on-air emergencies.
