Job summary
WTOC-TV/Gray Media, based in Savannah, GA, seeks a Director with a strong Master Control background to guide daily newscasts and ensure seamless audio/video control. Flexibility for mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays is required.
Responsibilities include directing live broadcasts, managing master control equipment, and coding segments for Ross automation. Candidate should show strong communication and organizational abilities and knowledge of FCC regulations.
Qualifications
- 1 year of experience in directing, master control, production, or related fields.
- Knowledge of Ross Overdrive, Caprica, ENPS, and Crispin automation and playout systems preferred.
- Ability to prioritize complex tasks and communicate effectively.
- Strong organizational and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities
- Directing live newscasts daily.
- Monitoring and maintaining video and audio of Master Control.
- Operating various broadcast equipment including PTZ cameras, audio mixers, and production switchers.
- Creating clear and accurate reports of on-air discrepancies.
- Coding newscasts for Ross automation.
