OpenTrain is recruiting for a Technical and Scientific Materials Sales Representative to contribute domain expertise to an AI training project focused on realistic B2B sales interactions. You will research and prospect leads, qualify opportunities, translate technical product capabilities into practical business benefits, and help improve how AI systems understand consultative sales conversations in technical markets.
Research and prospect B2B leads in technical and scientific materials markets. Assess prospect needs, budget, authority, interest, and fit with technical offerings. Explain complex technical value propositions to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Create tailored written and verbal presentations that connect features with business outcomes. Respond to common objections using factual, benefits-driven reasoning. Record interactions, feedback, and market insights for project improvement and model training. Collaborate with project stakeholders to refine messaging based on market feedback.
Demonstrated success in B2B sales involving technical or scientific materials. Strong understanding of technical products, materials, and applications across industries. Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly in writing and conversation. Consultative sales experience, including objection handling and negotiation. Familiarity with CRM platforms and digital prospecting tools. Analytical ability to evaluate prospect potential and adapt engagement strategies. Commitment to concise, actionable feedback for AI training work.
Experience bridging technical products and non-technical buyers is especially relevant. Strong prospect research, persuasive presentation development, and practical knowledge of technical materials can help you produce useful, well-grounded sales examples and feedback.
