Job summary

Laserfiche is seeking a Technical Manager to lead our Solution Engineering team in a hybrid role based in Long Beach, CA. You will review designs and code, stay technically current, and remain hands-on to guide the most challenging problems in our portfolio.

You will drive 1–2 projects, manage delivery health, and arbitrate technical approaches while growing engineers through coaching and performance-based promotions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of technical experience in customer-facing roles, including leading engineers, technical consultants, or delivery teams.
• Demonstrable code judgment; read unfamiliar code, judge quality, and defend opinions.
• Experience with billable services or consulting; familiarity with utilization, scope and margin.
• Hands-on experience deploying AI and agentic automation technologies.
• Knowledge of information security standards or compliance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Review your team’s work critically: code, configurations, and designs to distinguish quality.
• Write code yourself; prototype integrations and fixes during escalations.
• Know details, syntax, idioms, and failure modes of languages your team uses.
• Arbitrate design approaches and manage engagements to their Statement of Work.
• Grow engineers on evidence; conduct regular one-on-ones and promote based on project records.
• Maintain delivery health of your portfolio and monitor project drift.
