Job summary

The Wine Group is seeking a Technical Maintenance Planner to convert maintenance requests into detailed, resource-ready plans. You will verify scope, estimate duration, coordinate parts, and manage the planning backlog while supporting weekly and outage scheduling.

The role collaborates with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, and Quality to improve asset reliability and schedule adherence. You will use JDE and MaintainX for planning and field data, driving backlogs, and ensuring readiness for

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical education preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive industrial or facilities maintenance experience.
• Experience in planning, scheduling, reliability, or technical coordination.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, controls, PLCs, and facility systems.
• Proficient with CMMS/EAM and Microsoft Office; JDE and MaintainX preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review work requests for clarity, asset and location accuracy, priority, and planning needs.
• Conduct field walkdowns to verify scope, equipment condition, and safety requirements.
• Develop standardized, step-by-step job plans with labor, parts, materials, tools, contractors, and criteria.
• Apply precision maintenance requirements including alignment, torque, lubrication, and tolerances.
• Identify, reserve, order, kit, and stage required parts and materials; coordinate tools and contractors.
• Maintain a prioritized backlog with status, aging, ownership, and next actions.
• Build proposed weekly schedules from fully planned work and labor by craft and skill.
• Coordinate weekly work-management cadence, backlog screening, and daily blocker review.
• Use JDE for work orders and MaintainX for procedures and field data.
• Review completed work orders for labor, parts, and lessons learned before closure.
• Participate in RCA, RCM, PM optimization, and reliability initiatives.
• Monitor planning coverage, schedule loading, and backlog aging.
• Maintain clear role boundaries: Planner coordinates work; Supervisor assigns technicians.
