Sea Colony Recreational in Bethany Beach, DE is seeking a full-time Technical Maintenance Assistant to oversee daily upkeep of buildings, assets, and mechanical systems across the resort-like community.

The role requires physical fitness, basic computer skills, and willingness to learn clay court and pool maintenance, interact with contractors, and support multiple departments in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in clay tennis court maintenance or willingness to learn.
• Proficient with computer technology and standard software programs including work order placement and tracking, spreadsheet, and word processing.
• Experience with pool maintenance or willingness to learn how to properly maintain pool.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Ability to interact professionally with all departments, outside contractors.
• Able to present him/herself as a professional.
• Able to handle multiple tasks and in fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily maintenance of buildings, assets, and mechanical systems across Sea Colony Recreational.
• Perform repair and maintenance of pools, tennis courts, tram system, and other facilities.
• Assist with grounds, landscaping, and general property upkeep.
• Coordinate with contractors and other departments to ensure timely work.

Sea Colony consists of more than 2,200 condominiums, spacious town homes and private single-family homes. The community offers an unparalleled array of amenities - 12 heated pools (including two indoor pools), a fitness center with a gym and weightroom, a beach, a tennis and pickleball court, as well as a tram system that goes around the community.

Summary

The Tech Maintenance Assistant is directly responsible for the daily maintenance of all buildings, assets, and mechanical systems including grounds, landscaping, buildings, pools, tennis courts, beach, trams, furniture, and fixtures. The individual is also responsible for all repair and maintenance of said assets and systems that are generally and customarily required to be executed by maintenance personnel at a high-end resort.

Minimum Requirements

• Experience in clay tennis court maintenance or the willingness to learn how to properly maintain clay courts.
• Proficient with computer technology and standard software programs including work order placement and tracking, spreadsheet, and word processing
• Experience with pool maintenance or the willingness to learn how to properly maintain pool.
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Ability to interact professionally with all departments, outside contractors.
• Will present him/herself as a professional.
• Able to handle multiple tasks and at times in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• From time to time, this job involves manual labor including power washing, digging, lifting, climbing, hauling, taking out trash, and other tasks.
• The ideal candidate will possess a level of physical fitness enabling him or her to lift up to 100 lbs.
