Job Description
3Pillar is an AI transformation partner on a mission to help enterprises build the AI-native products and intelligent agents that will define the next era of business. With teams across North America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia, we work with the most ambitious companies in financial services, healthcare, media, and technology — helping them move faster, modernize boldly, and compete on their own terms. Our HelixAI platform and Helix Pods delivery model put our engineers at the center of real agentic transformation — doing work that is open, portable, and built to last. We are building the future of enterprise AI.
Independently guide the technical direction and implementation by the whole team within defined architecture, in all stages from conceptualization to deployment.
Own the target architecture for data services: capture of the incoming telemetry stream, contextualization against CMDB and other sources of record, data modeling, and exposure through APIs and telemetry feeds.
Lead the decomposition of existing systems into services, maintaining current Python services while establishing .NET as the platform for new and future development.
Define the caching strategy and lightweight datastore approach that keeps contextualized queries fast at ingest rate.
Design the API and telemetry stream contracts consumed by downstream products, including versioning and backward compatibility.
Evaluate trade-offs between correctness, robustness, performance, and customer impact to ensure the development of the right solution, with client success at the forefront.
Partner with the Telemetry technical lead on the contract at the boundary between ingest and exposure, so the two pods evolve independently without breaking each other.
Create and lead the team's technical documentation and repository management practices, including tasks such as creating branches, pull requests, merges, and release process.
Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and addressing complex bug fixes with a focus on security, performance, and reliability.
Participate in and lead knowledge transfer from the outgoing delivery team, then support the ramp up of the engineers behind you.
Be an active leader in the Engineering Practice community, mentoring Senior Engineers and others through Communities of Practice (CoPs) or on project teams, supporting the growth of technical capabilities.
A minimum of 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with production depth in both .NET and Python. Python is needed to maintain and evolve the current services; .NET is the direction for new and future development.
Demonstrated experience decomposing existing systems into services, including strangler-style migrations of live systems.
Hands-on ServiceNow and CMDB integration experience, including asset and configuration data modeling.
Caching strategy and lightweight datastore design: Redis or equivalent, invalidation approach, and read-path optimization.
Strong data modeling skills across relational and time-series or event-shaped data.
API and telemetry stream design at scale, including contract, versioning, and consumer management.
Kubernetes at scale, plus observability practice: metrics, tracing, structured logging, and alerting you designed yourself.
Experience leading Agile software development methodologies.
Demonstrated experience following and adapting high-level architecture to project and client needs, and the ability to verify and validate architecture implementations.
High-level design proficiency following UML / C4 / ArchiMate.
Very good knowledge of architectural styles and design patterns, SOLID principles, and OWASP.
Demonstrated initiative in mentoring other engineers and decision-makers throughout the organization.
High level of English proficiency required to interact with a globally-based development team and client stakeholders.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
High-throughput event processing and stream consumption patterns.
Prior experience in data center, DCIM, IT operations, or critical-infrastructure data platforms.
Ability to set technical strategy and direct implementation across several teams or a whole product.
Experience building CI/CD pipelines and cloud native applications.
Ability to refine and clarify technical details, including definition of done, based on internal or external product ownership for user stories and task assignments.
Experience owning API services shared across multiple consuming products and negotiating their roadmaps.
