Job Description
3Pillar is an AI transformation partner on a mission to help enterprises build the AI-native products and intelligent agents that will define the next era of business. With teams across North America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia, we work with the most ambitious companies in financial services, healthcare, media, and technology - helping them move faster, modernize boldly, and compete on their own terms. Our HelixAI platform and Helix Pods delivery model put our engineers at the center of real agentic transformation - doing work that is open, portable, and built to last. We are building the future of enterprise AI.
Independently drive project delivery within defined architecture, demonstrating autonomy and accountability in all stages from conceptualization to deployment.
Build and operate high-throughput ingestion and event processing services that consume the upstream telemetry stream.
Implement contextualization logic that joins telemetry against CMDB, asset, and other reference data, and the data models behind it.
Design and implement APIs and telemetry feeds at scale, including pagination, filtering, contract stability, and versioning.
Implement and tune caching with Redis or equivalent, including invalidation strategy and read-path performance.
Contribute to the decomposition of existing Python services into well-bounded services, largely on .NET going forward.
Craft client code that is not just efficient but also performant, testable, scalable, secure, and of the highest quality.
Actively participate in accurate planning and estimation efforts, utilizing project methods and tools.
Take part in knowledge transfer from the outgoing delivery team and help ramp up engineers joining behind you.
Engage in agile software development, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, team retrospectives, and other governance activities.
Actively participate in the Engineering Practice community, mentoring others through Communities of Practice (CoPs) or on project teams and supporting the growth of technical capabilities.
A minimum of 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with backend depth in .NET or Python. Working ability in both is strongly preferred, since the pod maintains Python services while building new development on .NET.
Demonstrated experience with high-throughput ingestion and event processing in production.
Hands-on caching experience with Redis or equivalent, including invalidation and read-path tuning.
API design at scale, including contract design, versioning, and performance under real consumer load.
Strong data modeling skills across relational and event-shaped or time-series data.
Experience in creating and implementing well-tested, scalable, and performant enterprise-level systems.
Expertise in applying object-oriented programming principles, plus good understanding of SOLID principles and familiarity with OWASP.
Proficiency in the English language.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
ServiceNow or CMDB familiarity. This is preferred rather than required.
Experience decomposing a legacy service into smaller services while it stays in production.
Containers and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
Architectural patterns such as microservices and event-driven design, and design patterns such as factory, singleton, and observer.
Object-Relational Mappers (ORMs) and unit testing practice.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud native application patterns.
