Job summary

InvestedintheMission is seeking a technical/scientific manager to lead research, development and operations in metal nanoparticle production. You will guide teams from lab-scale to pilot and full production, ensuring quality, safety and process integrity while aligning technical work with business goals.

The role requires advanced degrees in materials-related fields, 5–7 years in product development, and proven leadership in multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Masters or PhD in Materials Science, Chemistry, Nanomaterials or related discipline (or equivalent).
• 5–7 years of product development and lifecycle management in chemical/nanomaterial production.
• Experience leading technical teams through product development lifecycle.
• Experience with drawings, BOMs, ECM and quality systems for non-conforming parts.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on metal nanoparticle design, synthesis routes, surface functionalization and characterization.
• Lead scale-up from bench to pilot lines and full manufacturing, optimizing throughput, yield and purity.
• Coordinate daily operations in nanoparticle production labs and report progress against KPIs.
• Allocate equipment, facilities and personnel to achieve R&D and production goals.
• Hire, train and evaluate scientists, engineers and technicians in nanosafety and data-driven decision making.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, quality, EH&S and supply chain to align roadmaps with market needs.
