Job summary

MetOx International, based in Houston, TX, seeks a Manager, Research & Development Lab to lead the Pilot Line and R&D laboratory, overseeing technicians, equipment readiness, and engineering execution.

You will drive safe, efficient operations and accelerate technology transfer for advanced materials, collaborating with Process, Materials, and Quality teams to scale manufacturing knowledge.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, Manufacturing Technology, or related discipline.
• Five years of engineering experience including laboratory operations, pilot manufacturing, or R&D.
• Two years of experience leading technicians or technical teams.
• Experience supporting engineering development, manufacturing operations, or technology commercialization.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operation of the R&D lab and pilot line, overseeing technicians and equipment readiness.
• Collaborate with Process, Materials, Equipment, Manufacturing, and Quality teams.
• Drive safe, efficient laboratory operations and timely delivery of analytical results.
• Oversee advanced materials characterization, failure analysis, and testing protocols.
• Foster continuous improvement and effective documentation for transfer to production.
