Job summary

Veeam Software, Inc. is seeking a Technical Lead Manager, Forward Deployed Engineering to guide a team delivering complex customer deployments of the Securiti AI platform within Veeam.

You will own team growth, delivery across multiple enterprise accounts, and the customer experience from first deployment through scaled use, turning complex data, security, privacy, and AI needs into actionable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years in technical, customer-facing delivery roles including forward-deployed engineering or solutions delivery.
• Experience managing engineers or delivery teams with hiring, coaching and career development.
• Strong program and delivery management skills across multiple accounts, timelines and priorities.
• Excellent communication to set expectations with executives, leaders, engineers and internal teams.
• Technical depth in deployment and infrastructure (Kubernetes, containers, Linux, cloud, hybrid).
• Ability to review architectures, challenge assumptions, and guide teams to strong technical decisions.
• Experience handling customer escalations with clarity and accountability.
• Experience using AI-native tools and automation to improve delivery speed and quality.
• Knowledge of data security, privacy, governance in enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a team of Forward Deployed Engineers, including hiring, onboarding, coaching and career development.
• Own delivery across a portfolio of enterprise accounts with planning, milestones, risks, and timelines.
• Balance team workload and account assignments based on skills and growth opportunities.
• Set operating rhythm for status updates, delivery tracking, and risk management.
• Manage customer expectations with executives and technical stakeholders, ensuring commitments are met.
• Review solution architecture and guide complex technical decisions; resolve escalations.
• Support deployments across cloud, hybrid, and on-prem environments (Kubernetes, containers, Linux).
• Set technical standards, patterns, and playbooks to ensure quality and consistency.
• Promote AI-forward workflows and automation to improve speed and quality.
• Collaborate with Sales Engineering, Account Executives, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success on pursuits and roadmap feedback.
• Share field learnings with Product and Engineering to improve the platform.
