Job summary

GrayMatter is hiring a Technical Lead for Building Automation Services. You will execute specialized work efficiently with a strong emphasis on controls and SCADA systems in data center, power, and manufacturing environments.

The role requires 5+ years of relevant experience, a Bachelor's degree in a related field, and a disciplined, customer-focused approach. Occasional travel is required; base salary ranges from $140k to $170k.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in an applicable field (ChE, EE, EET, ME, MET or comparable).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience with SCADA platforms.
• Experience with PLC platforms (AB, Modicon, Siemens) preferred.
• Field start-up, troubleshooting, and commissioning experience.
• Knowledge of electrical distribution, UPS, power metering, and relay monitoring.
• Understanding of electrical schematics, instrumentation, and control concepts.
• Control systems implementation, design, installs, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Networking experience (Ethernet IP, Modbus, 61850).

Responsibilities

• Perform GrayMatter services focusing on controls and SCADA systems.
• Design, develop, and implement automated process solutions for facilities.
• Be an active project team contributor for projects of all sizes.
• Assist in project development, planning, and engineering.
• Support onsite start-up, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
• Build training curriculum to set site teams up for success.
