Northrop Grumman Space Systems seeks a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for the Sentinel program in Roy, UT. The role focuses on facility power systems, integration of electrical components, and collaboration with engineering teams to meet milestones.

The ideal candidate brings DoD Secret clearance, strong leadership, and experience with power systems analysis tools. The position emphasizes a 9/80 schedule and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 5+ years experience, or 2 years with a Master’s, or 1 year with a PhD.
• US Citizen with active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Knowledgeable with Siemens Teamcenter PLM or equivalent.
• Electrical engineering experience in two or more areas: architecture, power systems, or test of power equipment.
• Experience with power-system design/analysis tools: ETAP, PSS/E, SKM, EasyPower, PSCAD.
• Knowledge of IEEE, NEC, NESC, NFPA, IEC, UFC standards.
• Ability to meet program milestones.
• MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Support design requirements for electrical power generation, conversion and distribution systems.
• Attend technical meetings and milestone reviews to report progress.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with diverse assignments and teams.
• Coordinate between facility electrical design and other integration teams.
• Document electrical system designs and ensure alignment with weapon system integration.
• Research and evaluate electrical/electro-mechanical systems and power cables.
• Demonstrate leadership principles: integrity, respect, organization, communication.
