Job summary

BTI, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), seeks a Technical Lead to design, develop, and maintain complex applications end-to-end with cloud, security, and integration expertise. You will partner with Product Owners and an IT Federal Project Manager to translate requirements and drive architecture decisions.

Role emphasizes Agile delivery, scalable design, secure infrastructure, and opportunities to build platform-based solutions that meet federal mission needs.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• Strong background in IT with 10+ years of experience and 5+ years in design/development.
• Experience translating business requirements into system design and development.
• Experience with agile development using Jira and DevSecOps tooling.
• Experience with front-end development using modern technologies such as React JS.
• Relational database backends, SQL scripts, views, triggers, and stored procedures.
• Experience implementing Login.gov authentication with IAL-1.
• ETL processes for data gathering/loading from external sources.
• Security vulnerability scanning and remediation experience.
• Accessibility compliance (Section 508) familiarity.
• Ability to provide accurate estimates for design and programming efforts.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the filing application or similar solution from end to end.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and the IT Federal Project Manager to understand requirements.
• Contribute to major design decisions and work with SMEs, system owners, and end-users.
• Follow Agile practices to build scalable designs aligned with release goals.
• Ensure architecture integrates with existing infrastructure securely and sets future standards.
• Identify opportunities to build platform-based solutions for user challenges.

Education

Undergraduate college degree in computer science, information systems management, mathematics, or related discipline
