Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Senior Software Engineer / Technical Lead to provide technical leadership, solution architecture guidance, and hands-on software development for complex enterprise applications and cloud-native platforms. You will partner with Product, Architecture, Security, Infrastructure, and Delivery teams to deliver strategic objectives.

You will own end-to-end technical delivery, drive architecture decisions, and mentor developers across multiple workstreams while ensuring

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of experience in software engineering, preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Google Cloud preferred) and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on API management and integration platform experience (Apigee).
• Experience leading CI/CD and IaC practices; security awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and support of enterprise applications and APIs.
• Own end-to-end technical delivery across multiple workstreams.
• Define architecture and development best practices.
• Translate business needs into technical solutions and guide teams.
• Drive technical planning, estimation, and architecture reviews.
• Mentor engineers and coordinate with partners.
• Lead root-cause analysis and ensure reliability and security.
• Promote DevSecOps, CI/CD, IaC, testing, and observability.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Security, Risk, and Platform teams.
