Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Senior Software Engineer / Technical Lead to drive technical leadership, architecture, and hands-on development for enterprise applications and cloud-native platforms. You will partner with Product, Architecture, Security, and Delivery teams to ensure strategic objectives are met.

You will own end‑to‑end delivery, establish design standards, and mentor engineers while advancing DevSecOps and modern engineering practices across multiple workstreams.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of experience for senior level
• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience preferred
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices, React/Angular
• Cloud platforms including Google Cloud Platform preferred
• Kubernetes (GKE preferred), IaC, cloud-native development
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tooling (GitHub Actions, Concourse, ArgoCD, Terraform)
• Experience with API management platforms such as Apigee and integration platforms
• Security: OAuth2/OpenID Connect, JWT, API security concepts
• Databases: PostgreSQL/BigQuery and NoSQL, data integration/analytics
• Healthcare/pharma/financial services regulatory awareness and SSDLC

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and support of enterprise apps, APIs, and cloud-native solutions
• Own end-to-end technical delivery across multiple workstreams
• Define architecture, standards, and best practices across teams
• Translate business needs into technical solutions and guide implementation
• Lead architecture reviews, planning, and risk mitigation
• Mentor developers and partners; escalate complex issues when needed
• Drive DevSecOps, CI/CD, IaC, testing, and observability implementations
• Ensure security, compliance, and operational excellence across apps
