Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Senior Software Engineer / Technical Lead to provide technical leadership and hands-on development for complex enterprise applications and cloud-native platforms. You will guide architecture, security, and delivery teams to meet strategic objectives.

The role emphasizes end-to-end solution delivery, design standards, and mentoring across multiple streams, with a focus on scalable, secure, and maintainable systems in a regulated, healthcare-related environment.

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices Architecture, React and/or Angular.
• Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform (preferred).
• Kubernetes (GKE preferred), cloud-native development, container orchestration, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (GitHub Actions, Concourse, ArgoCD, Terraform).
• Hands-on API management and integration platforms (Apigee and others).
• Strong understanding of OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, API security, and SSDLC in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, implementation, and support of enterprise applications, APIs, integrations, and cloud-native solutions.
• Own end-to-end technical solution delivery across multiple workstreams with focus on scalability, security, reliability, and maintainability.
• Define and drive technical architecture, engineering standards, and development best practices across teams.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and guide teams through implementation strategies.
• Lead technical planning, estimation, and architecture reviews for all initiatives.
• Drive design decisions balancing business objectives, technical debt, performance and cost.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers and partners.
• Lead root cause analysis and preventive measures for system stability.
• Review designs, code, and deployment strategies for quality and compliance.
• Foster DevSecOps, CI/CD, IaC, automated testing, observability adoption.
