First Tech Federal Credit Union is seeking a Principal Agentic AI Engineer to own the technical direction for automation and agentic AI across multiple domains. This hands-on role combines software engineering depth with a passion for building AI-native automation and mentoring engineers.

You will set engineering quality, drive architectural decisions, and collaborate with product and management to scope, estimate, and deliver production-ready AI systems with strong safety and observability in a

Competenze

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with 1–2 years on automation/AI/data engineering systems
• Production-grade software delivery experience
• Experience mentoring or leading engineers
• Equivalent experience accepted in lieu of formal degree
• Experience in financial services or regulated environments is a plus
• Experience with agent observability tools is a plus
• Familiarity with guardrails frameworks is a plus

Mansioni

• Delivers automation and agentic AI systems end-to-end from discovery to production
• Designs and maintains RAG pipelines, agent evaluation harnesses, and guardrails
• Mentors senior and mid-level engineers with code reviews and pairing
• Partners with Product Owner on discovery and scoping
