You will mentor engineers, drive cloud-native architectures on .NET/C#, and present designs to Architecture Review Boards while collaborating with stakeholders across time zones.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software design and development experience, with a track record in leadership.
• Strong experience with ASP.NET Core, REST APIs and microservices architecture.
• Hands-on SQL Server, Entity Framework Core, and database design knowledge.
• Expertise in Microsoft Azure including App Services, Functions, Storage, and Observability tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and technical implementation of custom software solutions, using modern AI-assisted design practices.

Technical Lead (.NET / Azure) | Aerospace Software

$130,000 - $152,000 + 401(k) with 100% Match (Immediately Vested) | Pittsburgh, PA (Hybrid, 4 days on-site)

Full-time | Permanent

Via is partnering with a global Fortune 500 industrial manufacturer to hire a Technical Lead for its Aerospace business. You'll join a global custom software team that designs and builds enterprise applications used across the organization.

In this role, you'll be the technical authority on complex, business-critical initiatives. You'll lead design and implementation, guide Agile teams, and present your designs to Architecture Review Boards. You'll also help shape how AI-assisted development is adopted across the engineering function. You'll work with developers, DevOps engineers, architects, product owners and senior stakeholders across multiple countries and time zones, and report to a Delivery Manager.

What you'll be doing

• Leading the design and technical implementation of custom software solutions, using modern AI-assisted design and development practices.


• Working with Solution Architects, Product Owners and stakeholders to turn business needs into scalable, secure solutions.


• Presenting and defending technical designs at Architecture Review Boards and influencing key technical decisions.


• Reviewing code and designs to maintain quality and standards, including validating AI-generated code.


• Mentoring developers on architecture, design patterns and coding best practices.


• Driving observability across services, including logging, monitoring, metrics and distributed tracing.


• Identifying and resolving complex technical issues, risks and dependencies.


• Contributing to backlog refinement, estimation and technical planning.


• Championing continuous improvement across the SDLC, including cloud-native and data-driven approaches.

What you'll bring

• 8+ years of software design and development experience with .NET/C#, including at least 2 years as a Technical Lead or in an equivalent role.


• Strong experience with ASP.NET Core, REST APIs and microservices architecture.


• Solid knowledge of SQL Server, Entity Framework Core and database design.


• Hands-on Microsoft Azure experience, including App Services, Azure Functions, Storage, Application Insights and cloud-native architectures.


• CI/CD, source control and DevOps experience using Azure DevOps.


• A strong grasp of software architecture, design patterns, secure authentication (Azure AD, OAuth 2.0, JWT) and scalable application design.


• Experience troubleshooting distributed systems using monitoring, logging and telemetry.


• A track record of leading design discussions, running code reviews and mentoring engineers.


• Experience with AI-assisted development tools and validating AI-generated code.

Nice to have

• AWS experience.


• Power BI and enterprise integration experience.
