Job summary

Synergy Business Consulting, Inc. is seeking an AI Engineering Lead to drive an enterprise AI transformation within a Finance & Accounting tech organization. This hands-on leadership role requires architectural vision, mentoring, and delivering AI solutions at scale.

You will own roadmaps for AI-assisted engineering, multi-agent workflows, and governance engagement, while guiding offshore teams and cross-functional partners. Hybrid/remote options supported, with in-office Tue/Wed in the NY area.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• 3+ years focused on AI/ML engineering or enterprise AI solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio and Power Platform.
• Experience with Azure AI Foundry and/or Azure OpenAI Service.
• Strong knowledge of agentic AI, multi-agent orchestration, tool calling, memory, and planning.
• Proven experience mentoring and developing junior engineers.
• Experience integrating AI with ERP/enterprise systems using REST APIs and OData.

Responsibilities

• Own the AI engineering roadmap across AI-assisted engineering, embedded AI solutions, and agentic systems.
• Design and establish architecture standards using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Azure AI Foundry, and Azure OpenAI.
• Design and deploy multi-agent AI workflows, including tool use, memory, planning, and orchestration.
• Mentor and develop a team of early-career AI engineers through pairing, design reviews, and progressive ownership.
• Lead technical design reviews, architecture decisions, POCs, and AI solution prototypes.
• Represent the engineering team in AI Center of Excellence and governance initiatives.
• Partner with Product, Security, Compliance, and Engineering teams on enterprise AI adoption.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and Microsoft platform releases.
• Provide technical direction to vendor/offshore AI delivery teams.
• Establish AI engineering best practices and standards.

Now Hiring: AI Engineering Lead | Remote / Hybrid

I’m partnering with an organization undergoing a major AI transformation within its Finance & Accounting technology organization and looking for an experienced AI Engineering Lead to serve as the senior technical leader for the team.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can architect enterprise AI solutions, build agentic systems, mentor engineers, and help drive organization-wide AI adoption.

What We’re Looking For

• 8+ years of software engineering experience
• 3+ years focused on AI/ML engineering or enterprise AI solutions
• Hands-on Microsoft Copilot Studio and Power Platform experience
• Experience with Azure AI Foundry and/or Azure OpenAI Service
• Strong knowledge of agentic AI, multi-agent orchestration, tool calling, memory, and planning
• Proven experience mentoring and developing junior engineers
• Experience integrating AI with ERP/enterprise systems using REST APIs and OData
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex AI concepts to technical and executive audiences
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations or similar ERP experience
• Semantic Kernel, Microsoft Agent Framework (MAF), or LangChain
• AI Center of Excellence/governance experience
• Finance, accounting, or supply chain technology background
• Experience managing vendor/offshore engineering teams

Hybrid preferred

Tuesday & Wednesday in office

Remote candidates will also be considered

Hours: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM EST

Flexible 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule available
