Job summary

TMS Technology in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking a Technical Lead to own design and drive AI-assisted engineering for aerospace software. You will defend decisions at the Architecture Review Board and guide a distributed, Agile team across time zones.

You will mentor developers on architecture and patterns, ensuring high-quality code and scalable, secure solutions. This hybrid role offers on-site 4 days a week with one day remote, and a competitive salary with bonus.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building with .NET and C#, including at least 2 years as a Technical Lead or equivalent.
• ASP.NET Core, REST APIs and microservices architecture.
• SQL Server with solid database design.

Every modern aircraft depends on specialist materials most passengers never think about. One of the world's biggest suppliers of them is growing fast, and the software behind that growth is built in house by a global engineering team most people don't know exists.

They're hiring a Technical Lead to shape what that team builds next.

This isn't a ticket-closing role. You'll own the design. You'll make the calls, then stand in front of the Architecture Review Board and defend them. You'll be the person a distributed Agile team looks to when a problem gets hard. And you'll lead the team's move to AI-assisted engineering in practice, not as a slide in a strategy deck.

What you'll be doing

• Leading design and technical delivery of custom software for the aerospace business
• Turning business problems into scalable, secure solutions with architects, product owners and senior stakeholders
• Presenting and defending designs at Architecture Review Board level

• Building real observability across services: logging, metrics, tracing
• Mentoring developers on architecture, design patterns and engineering discipline
• Working with teams across multiple locations and time zones

What you'll bring

• CI/CD with Azure DevOps

Location: Pittsburgh, PA. Hybrid, 4 days a week on site, 1 day remote

Salary: $130,000 to $152,000 plus bonus and benefits
