Job summary

Cognizant in the United States is seeking a Technical Lead to design, develop, and deliver scalable enterprise applications using React.js, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Core Java. You will provide technical leadership across front-end and back-end teams and ensure solutions are reliable, secure, and aligned with business needs.

The role focuses on merchandising and commerce solutions to improve customer value and drive enterprise growth.

Qualifications

• 8 to 10 years of hands-on software development experience with Core Java, Spring Boot, React.js, and Microservices.
• Experience designing scalable microservices-based solutions with service orchestration and data consistency.
• Strong OOP, design patterns, clean code, and enterprise app architecture.
• Experience with unit testing, integration testing, automated quality practices, and production support readiness.
• Working knowledge of relational or NoSQL databases and data flows supporting merchandising or transactional systems.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, technical leadership, and stakeholder management in Agile delivery.

As a Technical Lead, you will design, develop, and deliver scalable enterprise applications using React.js, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Core Java. You will provide technical leadership across front-end and back-end development, guide engineering teams, and ensure solutions are reliable, secure, and aligned with business needs. This role will support merchandising and commerce-related solutions that improve customer value and contribute to enterprise growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design and development of scalable enterprise applications using React.js, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Core Java.
• Drive architectural decisions across front-end and back-end components, ensuring maintainability, performance, security, and scalability.
• Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, QA teams, DevOps, and infrastructure partners to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Oversee code quality, pull request reviews, testing practices, technical documentation, and adherence to engineering standards.
• Mentor engineers, resolve complex technical issues, analyze production metrics, and drive continuous improvements across application performance and reliability.

Required Qualifications

• 8 to 10 years of hands-on software development experience with strong expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, React.js, and Microservices.
• Experience designing and implementing scalable microservices-based solutions, including service orchestration, data consistency, and resilience patterns.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, clean code principles, and enterprise application architecture.
• Experience with unit testing, integration testing, automated quality practices, and production support readiness.
• Working knowledge of relational or NoSQL databases, query optimization, and data flows supporting merchandising or transactional systems.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, technical leadership, and stakeholder management skills in Agile or iterative delivery environments.

Salary And Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $60k to 90k depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
