Job summary

Triple-S Steel seeks a Technical Inside Sales Representative to act as the main technical and commercial liaison between customers and manufacturing operations. You will review drawings, specifications, and fabrication requirements to prepare accurate quotations and drive successful projects.

The role requires a strong understanding of steel fabrication processes, blueprint interpretation, welding, machining, and manufacturing workflows, supporting customers in aerospace, defense, and industrial

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering or manufacturing is preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in steel fabrication, machining, or technical inside sales.
• Experience with fabricated steel products, weldments, machined components, or custom manufacturing projects is desirable.
• AS9100 and ISO quality standards knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review customer RFQs, engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Evaluate manufacturability and determine fabrication methods with engineering and operations.
• Prepare detailed quotations for fabricated steel components and value-added services.
• Serve as the primary contact for questions on materials, processes, tolerances, and capabilities.
• Coordinate customer requirements with production, quality, purchasing, inventory, and shipping.
• Monitor orders from quotation to shipment to ensure on-time delivery.
• Assist customers in identifying cost-effective fabrication solutions and alternate methods.
• Interpret welding requirements and material certifications for projects.
• Support new product launches, prototypes, and production programs.
• Maintain communication with customer procurement, engineers, and program managers.
• Manage lead times, material availability, and production schedules.
