Job summary

Talent Harbor is seeking a Technical Inside Sales Manager in Houston to lead a small technical sales team focused on manufacturing and fabrication. This role emphasizes building a coached, process-driven team rather than individual selling excellence.

The incumbent will guide quoting, ordering, and cross-functional collaboration with BD, Supply Chain, and Production Planning, while leveraging ERP and machine software to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings for fabrications.
• Strong process thinking applied to quoting and order-entry workflows.
• High emotional intelligence with coaching and accountability.
• Comfortable resolving healthy cross-team conflicts.
• Commercial sales exposure with management experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage a team of 5 including remote members.
• Lead coaching 1:1s to maintain productivity and accountability.
• Engage on strategic accounts and major project kickoffs.
• Collaborate with BD, Supply Chain, and Production Planning.
• Own quote-to-order workflow using ERP and machine software.
• Interpret engineered drawings to support quoting and design discussions.
• Provide consultative technical input on design, sourcing, and capacity planning.
