Westlock Controls seeks an Inside Sales Engineer Intern to act as a technical resource for quotation opportunities, application review, and customer solution development. You will collaborate with Inside Sales, Outside Sales, Engineering, Product Management, and Operations to assist with valve automation and process control applications.

The role emphasizes strong analytical and problem-solving skills, superior customer focus, and meticulous attention to detail.

Qualifications

• In process of obtaining bachelors degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
• Strong ability to interpret customer specifications and technical documentation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication with customers, distributors, engineers, and sales personnel.
• Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical resource for RFQs involving controls and monitoring products.
• Review customer specifications, datasheets, and technical requirements for compliance.
• Provide product selection guidance to customers, distributors, OEMs, and Outside Sales.
• Partner with Engineering and Product Management to evaluate non-standard applications and develop solutions.
• Support quotation development and customer clarification activities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with Outside Sales to ensure closed-loop communication.
• Deliver timely written quotations and track quotation activity.
• Support CRM and quote tool implementations and optimization.
