Job summary

Soni Resources Group in Fairfield, NJ is seeking a Technical Finance Manager to help build and scale its U.S. finance infrastructure. This hands-on role spans technical accounting, financial systems, internal controls, reporting, and finance transformation to support growth.

You will work across Finance, IT, Operations, and leadership to strengthen processes, automate data flows, support ERP initiatives, and participate in M&A integration and audits. CPA preferred; 5+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting, finance, audit, controlling, or technical finance experience.
• Strong ERP / financial systems experience.
• Understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, accounting processes, and internal controls.
• Experience with finance transformation, systems implementation, or process improvement.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to move comfortably between detailed technical work and broader business initiatives.
• Strong communication and cross-functional partnership skills.
• Hands-on, high-ownership mentality.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen accounting processes, controls, and finance infrastructure.
• Support technical accounting, financial reporting, and consolidation.
• Lead and support ERP, reporting, and finance systems initiatives.
• Improve finance data, master data, and automation.
• Standardize and streamline processes across multiple business units.
• Support external audit and internal control initiatives.
• Participate in M&A, including acquisition accounting and post-close integration.
• Support finance integration of newly acquired businesses.
• Partner on treasury, cash management, intercompany, and other finance initiatives.
• Work closely with Finance, IT, Operations, auditors, and senior leadership.
• Identify opportunities to automate and improve finance processes.
