Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Technical Engineer to help build, plan, and repair airstrips, docks, barracks, roads, and other projects.

You will learn to conduct surveys, drafting, and construction plan development, with paid training and a path to civilian careers in construction and engineering.

Training includes 10 weeks Basic Training and 17 weeks Advanced Individual Training; you will work on topographic mapping, CAD drafting, and geodetic surveys while earning a paycheck.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Interest in maps, charts, algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
• Experience with CAD tools is a plus.
• Military enlistment required.

Responsibilities

• Draw topographic maps and charts using CAD systems.
• Conduct geodetic and construction surveys with surveying tech.
• Provide technical support for vertical and horizontal construction projects.
