Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Technical Engineer to develop skills for construction planning and repair of airstrips, docks, barracks, roads, and other facilities. Training includes surveying, drafting, and plans development with hands-on fieldwork.

You will perform geodetic surveys, map drawing, and construction drawings using CAD, while gaining experience for civilian engineering careers in government or private sectors.

Qualifications

• Military enlistment is required for Army National Guard roles.
• Must be at least a high school junior or possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be between 17 and 35 years old.

Responsibilities

• Draw topographic maps and charts using CAD systems.
• Conduct geodetic and construction surveys with survey instruments and GPS Technology.
• Provide technical support for vertical and horizontal construction projects.
