Job summary

DC Army National Guard in Columbus, Ohio seeks a Technical Engineer to help plan, build, and repair airstrips, docks, barracks, roads, and other projects. You will gain skills for civilian construction, engineering, and architectural roles while serving.

Your training covers construction site development, surveying, drafting, and creating construction plans and specifications. Part of this program includes earning while you learn through Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training.

Qualifications

• Experience interpreting aerial photos and creating maps or charts.
• Ability to draw architectural and structural plans.
• Familiarity with CAD tools for drafting and surveying.

Responsibilities

• Draw topographic maps and charts using CAD systems.
• Conduct geodetic and construction surveys with survey instruments.
• Provide technical support for vertical and horizontal construction projects.
