Job description

Welcome to the future of cloud networking and security!

Cato Networks is the first company to converge enterprise networking and security into one centralized and global service that is delivered by cloud. It is led by networking and security pioneer Shlomo Kramer (Check Point, Imperva) and early investor (Palo Alto Networks, Exabeam, Trusteer and more). Cato's unique technology inspired a brand-new product category, later named "SASE" by Gartner and a market expected to reach $28.5 billion by 2028.This is your opportunity to get on the rocket ship and join a company that is building a cutting-edge enterprise network and secure cloud platform, and is on a fast track to becoming the worldwide market leader – don't miss it!

As Technical Enablement Team Lead, you will lead the strategy, execution and continuous improvement of technical enablement programs that help Cato's pre-sales organization confidently position, demonstrate and articulate the value of our platform.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is equally energized by developing people, building exceptional learning experiences and translating complex technology into practical field guidance. You will be part of a team of technical enablement professionals while partnering closely with Solutions Engineering, Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing and Revenue Enablement. This is an individual contributor role with functional leadership responsibility and no direct reports.

Your work will directly influence how quickly new team members become productive, how consistently our field teams represent Cato and how effectively they engage customers in technical conversations. Technical Enablement is central to building a confident, capable and consistent pre-sales organization. As Team Lead, you will shape the programs, content and coaching that help our Solutions Engineers move faster, deepen their technical expertise and deliver stronger customer experiences. You will help scale a technical enablement function that scales with Cato, equips the field for every stage of the customer journey and helps bring our vision for the cloud era of networking and security to life.

What You’ll Do
Lead Technical Enablement Strategy & Programs
  • Contribute to the technical enablement strategy and roadmap for pre-sales teams, aligned to business priorities, field needs and Cato's evolving platform
  • Design, deliver and continuously improve onboarding, role-based learning paths and ongoing technical training
  • Establish clear learning objectives, competency expectations and measures of readiness for Solutions Engineers
  • Identify technical knowledge gaps, performance trends and enablement opportunities that improve field effectiveness
  • Create scalable programs that support global growth while accounting for regional and segment-specific needs
  • Measure program adoption, learner engagement, knowledge retention and business impact to guide continuous improvement
Develop High-Impact Technical Content
  • Lead the creation and maintenance of technical enablement content including presentations, demo narratives, videos, labs, guides, internal documentation and facilitator materials
  • Translate complex networking, security, cloud and SASE concepts into clear, practical guidance for customer-facing technical teams
  • Ensure content accurately reflects current product capabilities, positioning, competitive context and pre-sales best practices
  • Establish content standards, governance and refresh cycles that keep enablement materials relevant, accurate and easy to find
  • Partner with Product Marketing and Revenue Enablement to connect technical depth with compelling customer value
Lead Through Influence & Enablement Excellence
  • Lead technical enablement initiatives by setting clear priorities, defining ownership and driving execution across the organization
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter leader for technical enablement strategy, content and program design
  • Model excellent program design, content creation and training delivery while remaining hands-on in key initiatives
  • Partner with stakeholders across Solutions Engineering, Product, Engineering, Sales and Marketing to align enablement efforts with field needs and business priorities
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable and learner-centered culture across the technical enablement community
  • Mentor and support technical enablement colleagues and field subject matter experts, helping strengthen facilitation skills, technical expertise and content quality
  • Help shape the future capacity and operating model of the technical enablement function as the organization grows
Partner Across the Business
  • Build trusted partnerships with Solutions Engineering leadership and field teams to ensure enablement reflects real customer conversations and sales motions
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to translate launches, roadmap changes and new capabilities into field-ready enablement
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing and Revenue Enablement on integrated go-to-market initiatives
  • Serve as a credible technical enablement leader in internal meetings, events and strategic programs
  • Establish feedback loops that bring field insights back to product, messaging and enablement stakeholders
Enablement Platforms & Operations
  • Own the effective use and evolution of technical enablement platforms, including the LMS, demo automation tools and centralized content hubs
  • Ensure learning paths, technical content, reporting and user experiences are organized, current and scalable
  • Use platform data and field feedback to improve content discoverability, learner adoption and program effectiveness
  • Help define the operating rhythm, processes and standards that enable the team to deliver consistently at scale
What You Bring
  • 5+ years of experience in technical enablement, sales engineering, technical training, solutions consulting or a related customer-facing technical role
  • Experience leading complex initiatives, mentoring peers and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong technical foundation in networking, cybersecurity, cloud or SASE technologies
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver technical learning programs for pre-sales or customer-facing technical audiences
  • Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills with the ability to make complex concepts understandable and actionable
  • Experience creating technical content across multiple formats, including presentations, labs, demo scripts, videos and documentation
  • Strong program management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment
  • A collaborative leadership style and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
  • A data-informed approach to measuring enablement effectiveness and improving outcomes
  • A growth mindset, high ownership and genuine passion for developing people
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting global or distributed pre-sales organizations

  • Networking or security certifications such as CCNA, Security+ or equivalent
