Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Technical Writer/Editor (level 2/3) to join our Palmdale, CA or Edwards AFB, CA team. You will derive information from released technical sources and write, rewrite, and edit manuals and publications for clear communication.

You will collaborate with engineers and SMEs to acquire knowledge, review engineering data, resolve discrepancies, and ensure proper use of products for customers in a fast-paced defense environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2 years of military, aircraft maintenance, production or technical writing experience.
• Active US Government Secret clearance or higher.
• Ability to obtain and maintain SAP clearance.
• Experience in developing and sustaining technical publications.

Responsibilities

• Derive information from released technical sources and write/edit manuals.
• Interview product developers and SMEs to acquire subject knowledge.
• Identify and resolve moderate discrepancies in engineering drawings and data.
• Coordinate findings with the team and advise on proper use with customers.
