Job summary

The role requires clear communication, interviewing of product developers, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications. On-site work in Huntsville, AL with potential for overtime or bonuses.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Technical Editor and Writer with a Bachelor’s degree.
• 5+ years of experience as a Technical Editor and Writer with a Bachelor’s degree; 2 years with a Master’s degree.
• 8+ years of experience as a Technical Editor and Writer with a Bachelor’s degree; 5 years with a Master’s degree.
• Experience working with military technical documents related to training development, training delivery, and integrated logistics support ARs, Mil Specifications and Preferences, Technical Bulletins, IETMs, DIDs, etc.
• 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Office and advanced skills with Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, and Illustrator.
• Must possess an active Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop Software installation material and documentation.
• Produce related technical publications and communicate technical specifications clearly.
• Acquire subject knowledge by interviewing product developers and examining specifications, drawings, and journals.
