Peraton is seeking a Junior Technical Editor to review and refine technical documents for accuracy and clarity. You will ensure grammar, punctuation, and style align with publication standards while coordinating with authors and technical staff to enhance content and organization.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with multiple years of experience or equivalent, familiarity with publishing software, and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 3 years of work experience or 7 years with no degree.
• Familiarity with publishing software and tools.
• Technical writing skills to produce and revise content.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with technical staff to produce and/or improve technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Review intelligence products for proper grammar, punctuation, syntax, logic, clarity, and consistency.
• Ensure that style and format conform to publication standards and is consistent with style guides.
• Amends draft tables, tone boxes, and graphics to ensure the content supports and is consistent with the accompanying text.
• Ensure proper classification markings in accordance with IC guidance.
• Work with authors to revise products for narrative organization, and further revisions as appropriate.
