Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Technical Editor at Fort Meade, MD, to act as the final quality assurance for intelligence products. You will ensure analytical soundness, clear writing, proper classification, and IC publication compliance before dissemination.

You will collaborate with analysts and production teams to sharpen narrative structure, enforce IC tradecraft, and elevate product quality for one of the government’s most consequential intelligence enterprises.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Minimum years of experience: 12 with no degree, 10 with AS/AA, 8 with BS/BA, 6 with MS/MA, or 3 with PhD.
• Familiarity with IC style guides (ICD 206, 209, 501, 710).
• Knowledge of IC publication standards and classification markings.
• Ability to review/edit complex intelligence products for accuracy and coherence.

Responsibilities

• Review intelligence products for grammar, punctuation, syntax, logic, and clarity.
• Ensure conformity to IC style guides and publication standards.
• Verify appropriate vocabulary and IC guidance alignment.
• Edit tables, tone boxes, and graphics to support text.
• Enforce classification markings per ICD 710 guidance.
• Collaborate with authors to improve narrative organization.
