Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Junior Technical Editor to join our military intelligence program(s) to deliver, operate and sustain modernized data science environments for rapid, precise decision making by warfighters. The role focuses on reviewing and editing technical documents to ensure clarity, accuracy and consistency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 3 years of work experience or 7 years with no degree.
• familiarity with publishing software and tools.
• Technical writing skills to produce and revise content.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with technical staff to produce and/or improve technical documentation.
• Experience in customer environments preferred.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain Polygraph; US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Review intelligence products for grammar, punctuation, syntax, logic, clarity, and consistency.
• Ensure style and format conform to publication standards and style guides.
• Amend draft tables, tone boxes, and graphics to support the accompanying text.
• Ensure proper classification markings in accordance with IC guidance.
• Collaborate with authors to revise products for narrative organization and revisions.
