Job summary

Relae (formerly Carbon Direct) seeks experienced contractors to support technical due diligence for carbon projects globally. You will provide country-specific expertise related to carbon projects, which could include land-use change, reforestation, improved forest management, biomass sourcing, political, regulatory, and economic contexts, social and cultural dynamics, and supply chains.

The role involves research, analysis, and/or stakeholder engagement, with the potential for in-person site

Qualifications

Experience in technical due diligence, impact assessments, or feasibility studies.
Ability to analyze carbon project components and regulatory contexts.
Strong written and verbal communication in English; multi-language a plus.

Responsibilities

Conduct technical due diligence, reviewing project docs and assessing risks.
Gather data on trends and best practices to support project assessments.
Provide SME input on policy frameworks, stakeholder dynamics, or technical feasibility.
Engage with project teams and stakeholders for informed decisions.
Participate in site visits when needed and assist with field evaluations.
Deliver written reports with recommendations based on research.
