Job summary

Action Speaks Louder is seeking a Contractor Business Engagement Manager, Corporate Standards to drive coalitions among climate-focused businesses and shape stronger emissions reporting. The role requires engaging business leaders across regions and translating complex accounting issues into credible business cases.

Remote work is offered with flexible hours and there is a focus on Latin America. Strong English fluency is essential, with Spanish and/or Portuguese as a plus for regional

Qualifications

• Experience as a business engagement or corporate partnerships professional.
• Understanding of corporate climate policy and emissions accounting standards.
• Ability to translate technical accounting issues into clear, credible business cases.

Responsibilities

• Co-develop a campaign strategy to build a coalition of climate-leading businesses to support stronger emissions reporting and corporate accountability.
• Identify and engage experts and allies across corporate, political, academic, legal, NGO sectors, with a focus on business leaders.
• Identify, build, and steward relationships with key decision-makers, industry associations, investors, and influencers.
• Develop and nurture partnerships with NGOs, coalitions, and multi-stakeholder initiatives to coordinate advocacy efforts.
• Analyse developments in corporate GHG emissions reporting regimes and standards, both voluntary and mandatory.
• Organise and participate in networking events, roundtables, and forums.
• Support media outreach by providing briefings, quotes, spokespeople, and background research.
• Help plan business-facing convenings, joint statements, or public commitments that demonstrate corporate leadership.
