Job summary

With Jéan is seeking a Technical Designer with 2–4 years of experience to join our design team in New York. You will translate creative concepts into production-ready specs and collaborate across design, production, and overseas factories to ensure quality and fit across woven, knit, and sweater categories.

In this hands-on role, you will lead fittings, build detailed tech packs, maintain measurement charts, and communicate fit comments clearly to factories, while helping move styles from

Qualifications

• 3+ years of technical design experience across wovens, knits and sweaters.
• Strong understanding of garment construction and fit.
• Experience participating in fittings and communicating fit comments clearly.
• Ability to manage multiple styles and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Illustrator and Excel/Google Sheets.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn and grow within the role.

Responsibilities

• Lead fittings and provide fit, construction, and grading feedback.
• Create and maintain tech packs and garment specs.
• Measure garments against spec and communicate issues.
• Coordinate with overseas factories on fit comments and approvals.
• Collaborate with design and production on technical feasibility.
• Update measurement charts, size specs, and grading.
• Keep development calendars on track across styles.
• Support day-to-day technical organization and fit consistency.
