Job summary

Gensler is seeking a Technical Designer in San Antonio to deliver functionally beautiful spaces. You will drive project delivery, collaborate with office leaders, and enhance delivery processes.

Ideal candidates bring architectural credentials, strong Revit skills, and leadership in fast-paced project environments. This in-person role requires relocation to or residence in the San Antonio area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited university is required.
• 5+ years of related project experience in architecture.
• Proficiency in Revit, 3D modeling, visualization tools and graphic software.
• Knowledge of building codes and accessibility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Design Directors on conceptual designs, presentations, and design development.
• Produce graphics, 3D renderings, and construction drawings.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, and regulators.
• Drive project delivery and support process improvements.

Your Role

As a Gensler Technical Designer, you will combine creativity and technical knowledge with a focus on project delivery and an understanding of how to produce functionally beautiful spaces for clients. You will drive the delivery of a project, collaborate with office and regional technical leaders, and develop delivery and process improvement strategies. What You Will Do

• Work with the Design Director(s) and project team(s) on conceptual designs, presentations, design development, and production
• Resolve complex design issues with innovative and practical solutions
• Participate in all project phases, including conceptual designs, presentations, schematic design, design development, construction documents and production
• Collaborate with design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies and other vendors to meet overall project objectives
• Produce graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and construction drawings
• Assist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination
• Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited university required
• 5+ years of related project experience
• Proficiency in Revit, 3D modeling, visualization, and graphic software
• Knowledge of relevant building codes and accessibility requirements
• Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development
• Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly
• A quick learner with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
• Strong leadership, organization, communication and relationship management skills
