Job summary

Fourth Floor is seeking a Technical Designer for its young men’s and boys’ sportswear team in New York. The role involves collaborating with design and sourcing to develop specs for development in sizes 2T–20 and leading fittings from pronto to pre-production.

You’ll work with an Assistant Designer on Tech Packs, communicate with overseas makers, and coordinate with Production Managers to ensure timely corrections for fit and pattern. Friday work-from-home is available.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in tops, bottoms, knits & wovens for boys & men.
• Proficient in MS Office & Excel for specs.
• Proficient in using Mac Desktop.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design and sourcing to create specs for development in men's sizes 2T-20.
• Work with Assistant Designer on Tech Packs and graded specs.
• Lead fittings and assess garments from pronto to pre-production.
• Communicate with overseas makers.
• Work with Production Managers to ensure on-time deliveries for corrections to fit and pattern.
