Job summary

Ralph Lauren is seeking a Technical Designer to create, maintain, and approve tech packs in PLM, guiding suppliers to production-ready garments. You will collaborate with Design, Product Management, Pattern Making, and global sourcing to ensure design intent, quality, and calendar adherence.

Responsibilities include hand-off from Design, attending reviews, building complete tech packs, and maintaining accuracy of measurements and construction data across the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in apparel manufacturing, design, or related field.
• Strong garment construction, fit understanding, and manufacturing process knowledge.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Ability to proactively identify and resolve problems.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional and global environment.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
• Knowledge of Browzwear or other 3D applications preferred.
• Working knowledge of Gerber, PLM, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain tech packs in PLM using established tools, templates, and standards.
• Ensure complete hand-offs with all components for tech packs.
• Attend hand-off meetings, reviews, and milestone meetings as needed.
• Send recaps to align on pipelines, construction details, and next steps.
• Ensure measurements, construction details, fit requirements, sketches, and product data are documented accurately.
• Own Tech Pack Reviews and ensure data integrity in PLM.
• Partner with global teams and suppliers throughout the product lifecycle.
• Support fit sessions, sample reviews, and product evaluations for design intent and quality.
