Job summary

Ralph Lauren Corporation is seeking a Technical Designer to create, maintain, and approve tech packs in PLM, guiding suppliers and factories from design to production readiness. You will work closely with Design, Product Management, Pattern Making, and global sourcing to ensure quality, fit, and calendar adherence.

The role requires garments construction expertise, strong communication, and proficiency in Illustrator, PLM, and related tools.

Qualifications

• Degree or certification in Apparel Manufacturing, Design, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, and apparel manufacturing processes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Ability to proactively identify and resolve problems.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional and global environment.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator required.
• Knowledge of Browzwear or other 3D applications preferred.
• Working knowledge of Gerber, PLM, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a complete hand-off with all components needed to build a complete tech pack.
• Attend hand-off meetings and milestone reviews.
• Create and maintain tech packs in PLM using templates and standards.
• Ensure all measurements, construction details, and data are documented.
• Own Tech Pack Reviews for accuracy in PLM.
• Partner with global Technical Design teams and suppliers.
• Support fit sessions, sample reviews, and product evaluations.
• Monitor workload and calendar deliverables to meet deadlines.
• Build strong working relationships with internal and external partners.
