Job summary

Gensler Chicago’s Cities Studio is seeking experienced architecture professionals for opportunities in Critical Facilities. You will join a collaborative team, exploring design problems from concept to technical detail and contributing to diverse project phases.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and 5+ years of related experience, with strong Revit and visualization skills. A competitive base salary and comprehensive benefits are provided in a progressive, inclusive work

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited university is required.
  • 5+ years of related project experience, with interest or background in critical facilities related projects.
  • Proficiency in Revit, 3D modeling, visualization, and graphic software.
  • Beginning knowledge of relevant building codes and accessibility requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Critical Facilities team on conceptual designs, presentations, design development, and production.
  • Resolve complex design issues with innovative and practical solutions.
  • Participate in all project phases, including conceptual designs, presentations, schematic design, design development, construction documents and production.
  • Collaborate with design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies and other vendors to meet overall project objectives.
  • Produce graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and construction drawings.
  • Assist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination.
  • Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs.

What You Will Do
  • Work with our Critical Facilities team on conceptual designs, presentations, design development, and production

Your Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited university required

  • Proficiency in Revit, 3D modeling, visualization, and graphic software
  • Beginning knowledge of relevant building codes and accessibility requirements
  • Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development
  • Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly
  • A quick learner with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
  • Strong leadership, organization, communication and relationship management skills
