Job summary

Catalyst Brands is seeking a Technical Designer Manager in New York to lead the team’s workload, calendar, and priorities across multiple brands. You will mentor designers, ensure fit consistency and quality, and collaborate with Design and Product Development to set standards.

You will manage patterns, grading, and construction, drive improvements, and communicate with IBOs and factories to meet development timelines while maintaining brand integrity.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of patterns, fit, grading, and construction standards.
• Proactive in removing roadblocks and driving the business forward.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to self-manage, multitask, and meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Mentor team on fit evaluation, balance and proportion of fit.
• Deliver timely feedback and delegate while staying hands-on when needed.
• Manage workflow and adapt plans as business needs evolve.
• Create and use pattern blocks to ensure standards.
• Collaborate with Design and Product Development on fit and aesthetics.
• Maintain fit and construction standards for brand consistency.
• Communicate with IBOs, vendors, and cross-functional partners daily.
• Improve fit and quality through customer feedback and reviews.
