Job summary

Catalyst Brands in the United States is seeking a Senior Technical Designer to lead the technical design process for apparel, ensuring fit, quality, and design interpretation. You will evaluate garments, create detailed tech packs in FlexPLM, and collaborate with design and product development.

Qualifications

• Degree in Technical Design or related field preferred.
• 8+ years of technical design experience required.
• Experience with multiple channels (wholesale, discounters) preferred.
• Knowledge of garment construction, patternmaking, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage time and work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Manages garment evaluation process with master pattern and size grading as needed.
• Collaborate with Design and Product Development to determine fit and aesthetics.
• Prepare product packages in FlexPLM with measurements and technical sketches.
• Establish and maintain fit and construction standards for brand consistency.
• Lead fit sessions with Design and Product Development and discuss alternatives.
• Resolve fit and construction issues with International Buying Offices and factories.
• Communicate daily with IBO, vendors, and cross-functional partners.
• Enhance fit and quality through customer feedback and competitive analysis.
