Job Title: Technical Manager / Engineering Lead

Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Technical Manager to lead and support an engineering team consisting of Java Developers, QA Automation Consultants, and UI Developers. In this role, you will bridge the gap between high-level client requirements and technical execution, serving as the primary on-the-ground problem solver for delivery.

You must remain hands-on and technical enough to write and review code, debug complex issues, and architect robust solutions while serving as a key client-facing technical lead.

Note: This position focuses strictly on technical leadership, architecture, code quality, and team guidance; it does not involve formal project management or budget/schedule administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and guide a cross-functional team of Java Back-End Developers, QA Automation Engineers, and UI Developers. Foster a culture of technical excellence, code quality, and collaboration.
• Hands-on Execution & Architecture: Stay close to the codebase by reviewing PRs, writing critical code paths, troubleshooting complex technical blockers, and establishing architecture and coding standards across both front-end and back-end stacks.
• On-the-Ground Problem Solving: Serve as the first escalation point for delivery and technical hurdles. Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues quickly to keep project milestones on track.
• Client Engagement & Technical Delivery: Act as the primary technical interface for client stakeholders. Translate client requirements into technical specifications and explain complex architectural decisions to non-technical partners.
• Quality & Process Guidance: Partner with QA Automation consultants to establish robust automated testing frameworks and delivery pipelines (CI/CD) to ensure reliable deployment cycles.

Qualifications & SkillsTechnical Expertise

• Back-End: Deep, hands-on experience with Java and modern frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, Microservices architecture).
• Front-End: Solid background in modern UI technologies (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js, TypeScript).
• Quality & Test Automation: Solid understanding of automated testing concepts, frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, JUnit), and quality engineering standards.
• DevOps & Delivery: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and modern cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Leadership & Communication

• Client-Facing Skills: Strong communication skills with a proven ability to consult with clients, manage technical expectations, and build confidence.
• Technical Management: Background in leading developer teams, conducting code reviews, mentoring engineers, and resolving technical delivery blockers.
• Problem Solving: Exceptional analytical and debugging capabilities under tight delivery deadlines.
