Job summary

Axle, the AI-native clearinghouse for insurance data, seeks a Customer Success Engineer to stand up and mature our customer success function. You’ll be the primary contact for inbound questions, own triage, and help scale our GTM operations.

From debugging API issues to building runbooks and external docs, you’ll turn recurring questions into repeatable systems while partnering with Product to improve the customer experience at speed.

Qualifications

• Read API docs and debug HTTP flows.
• Explain 4xx vs 5xx to a customer without escalating.
• Build runbooks and internal tooling to scale support.
• Experience in API-first or developer-tools teams is a plus.
• Familiarity with insurance/fintech space is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the support inbox, define triage, macros, and weekly themes.
• Handle technical customer support for Axle interfaces, including API & MCP.
• Build out and maintain the knowledge base with troubleshooting guides.
• Run GTM operational support, modify provisioning and invoicing processes.
• Build lightweight tooling and automate recurring workflows.
• Act as the voice of the customer to product and solutions teams.
