Job summary

Navarro Research and Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Technical Consultant - I to provide program management oversight for the WIPP M&O contractor in Carlsbad, NM. The role spans surface and underground operations, waste receipt/emplacement, and waste transport, with EVMS-based performance evaluation.

The qualified candidate will have deep experience in hazardous/nuclear waste, nuclear facility operations, and project oversight, with onsite work four days a week on a 4/10 schedule. U.S.

Qualifications

• Experience with hazardous or nuclear waste generation or waste management.
• Ability to oversee nuclear facility operations, waste management, and contractor cost/schedule performance.
• Ability to work onsite at the WIPP site four days per week on a 4/10 schedule.
• Must satisfy Technical Consultant - I labor category requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide program management oversight of the WIPP M&O contractor.
• Oversee surface and underground operations within scope.
• Monitor waste receipt and emplacement activities.
• Oversee waste transportation activities related to WIPP operations.
• Monitor Minor Construction Project installations.
• Evaluate EVMS activities and cost/schedule performance.
